Total Square Footage: 2,450 sq. ft.

 This new home in Carmel has its roots in the mission and craftsman styles historically found throughout the area. Living spaces on the first floor were arranged around a protected, south facing courtyard that provides a sense of intimacy, an harmonic core that connects the living spaces. While the living space is introspective, the home relates to the street with a park like front yard, a corner window for the placement of a cheerful tree during the holidays, and a chimney fashioned like the smoke stack of a passing ship.
